Our Business
After years of wondering what was around the corner, living in Canada boarding commuting for years for work, I suddenly found myself unemployed. At the same time, my husband was offered a job in Ohio that we knew was not where we would satisfy our ambitions.
My husband continued to try to race on his weekends’ home, but when engine trouble looked to end the season early, a routine trip to the engine machine shop changed our lives.
When the opportunity came for us, the planets aligned like you could never imagine.
A turnkey opportunity, with an established business that was on its last legs due to poor business decisions and neglect, fell in our lap. It just so happened that an adequate amount of investment funds was available so we proceeded.
As we made arrangement to make the biggest move of our live, everything fell into place like a guardian angel was flipping the switches.
What made this the ideal opportunity was that I had always known I could manage any business as long as my husband talents were at work. Since his occupation and entire career background was machining and manufacturing, and his hobby was racing and building engines, there was never a better match.
With my management background the opportunity could not be missed. We opened our business on December 31, 2010; we turned on the open sign and by the end of the day we had two motors in house.
Additionally, we are racers, we are at the track every Saturday during the racing season; this year alone we have taken seven checkered flags! I use our presence at the track for networking, some retail, and trading services with chassis builders.
Today, we are proud to say we operate a “full service” engine machine shop with an attached retail store where we sell performance parts to the racing family.
